2026 Business Plan

We are proposing a youth diversion and anger-management training program to give kids an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and avoid trouble. Our plan is to educate and equip them to take advantage of shore fishing opportunities. The program will consist of a short classroom session focused on water safety and basic fishing instruction. Once a student successfully completes the classroom portion, they will be awarded safety and fishing equipment and receive on-the-water training in one of our two vessels or from the shore. After the entire program is completed successfully, participants will be allowed to return for future fishing trips based on good-behavior certification from their parents, school, and local law enforcement.

We believe in encouraging positive behavior through motivation and ongoing rewards.

Our Director, Larry Bailey, grew up in Lorain fishing the piers and rivers and has since fished throughout the country, building on the foundation he learned in Lorain.

The goal of the program is to prevent kids from going to the Detention Home and to create several jobs for citizens, including positions in administrative clerical scheduling, security assistance, and a first mate to assist with basic fishing operations.
